Robert James Smith ‘Bob’

Passed away peacefully at the George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton, on 3rd May 2026, aged 83 years.

Much loved and devoted husband of Sylvia, treasured Dad to Helen, Nicola and Zoe, proud and loving Grandad, and a loyal friend to many whose lives he touched with kindness, warmth and laughter.  Bob will be remembered for his gentle nature, his sense of humour, and the love and support he gave so freely to his family and friends throughout his life. He leaves behind countless cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Thursday 4th June 2026 at Baxterley Village Church, followed by burial in Hurley Churchyard.

After the service, all who knew and loved Bob are warmly invited to join the family for refreshments and to share memories at The Horse & Jockey, Coleshill Road, Bentley, CV9 2HL.
