It is with great sadness that we would like to let friends and family know that Michael Foster
(Mick, affectionately known to many as “Irish Mick”)
passed away peacefully on Tuesday 21st July 2026.
Mick was a much-loved Husband, Dad, Grandad, Brother, Uncle and Friend, and to many he was simply “Irish Mick.”
His stories, his laughter, his kindness and his unmistakable Irish wit touched so many lives and will never be forgotten.
Funeral arrangements are confirmed as follows:
Tuesday 4th August at 6:00pm, Reception into St John the Baptist Church, 2 St John Street, Tamworth, B79 7EX.
Wednesday 5th August at 12:00 noon
A full funeral service at St John the Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be followed by the committal, after which family and friends are warmly invited to join us for a wake from 1:30pm at The Tam O Shanter (“The Tammy”), where we will come together to celebrate Mick’s life, share memories and raise a glass in his honour.
