John Alfred Parton
27th April 1932 – 12th February 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John on 12th February 2025, aged 92. He died peacefully in his sleep at home.
Dearly beloved husband of the late Betty and loving father to Mark, Elisabeth, Helen. Cherished grandad to James, John and Jacinta. John was an amazing man and a great character who will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
John’s funeral will take place in St Michael and St James Roman Catholic Church, Main Street, Haunton, Staffs B79 9HL on Friday 28th March 2025 at 11.00 am. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
After the service there will be refreshments in the Church Hall. We hope you will stay to share your memories of John.

He was a great man, I met him in 1989 in Oxford, we shared some experiences, very bad experiences, but some of them very good experiences. Life toll us how the things should be done, and we learned the lesson very well. Last time we met was in june 1990 at his home, a very sad day for both families, both were destroyed for what had happened a few days before that sunday. I still remenber Betty craying that mornig on my solders, for something they had not done. Betty died the 29 of october 2007 two days latter tan my dad who died on the 27 th of october.
Life goes on slowly, I had a great sorrow in my heart for many many years I supose John had as well. He is in peace now, sooner or later we will be in the same side of the road. As my desease likes goes faster or slower
I send all my good feeling to the Parton family, especily to that person this letter is about.
