Janet Carter-Hounslow

2nd January 1954 – 28th June 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Janet Carter-Hounslow, who passed away on 28th June 2026 at George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton, aged 72 years.

Janet was a devoted and much-loved Mum to Faye and the late Darren, Wife to Ron, Grandma to Kasey, a cherished sister to Robert, Michael, Les, and the late Hilary, June and Martin, and a loyal friend to so very many. She had a kind and caring heart, a wonderful sense of humour, and a warmth that made everyone feel welcome. Her love, generosity and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered every day.

A service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held on Friday 7th August 2026 at 2:00pm at Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton.

Following the service, the family warmly invite everyone who knew and loved Janet to join them for a Celebration of Life at The Anchor Inn, Mancetter Road, Hartshill, CV10 0RT, where together we can share memories, laughter and stories in honour of a truly special lady.

Faye’s partner Alan is doing the Anglesey Ironman in September for Janet and to raise money for Macmillan which was the charity chosen by Janet for this fundraiser as they were very supportive to her during her illness.
