It is with the deepest sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Marven, who passed away peacefully at home on 15th August, aged 68 years, with her beloved husband Steven by her side.
Carol was the heart and soul of the family and, for 36 wonderful years, Steven’s much-loved wife. She was a devoted mum to Harry and a dearly loved daughter to Irene.
She was the absolute backbone of the family, the person who was always there, always caring, and who could never do enough for anyone. Looking after her family and friends was simply who Carol was. She always looked after others and never expected anyone to look after her.
She treasured her friendships too, with some of her closest friends having been part of her life for over 60 years. Once Carol loved you, you were loved for life.
The family are completely heartbroken at losing such a special wife, mum, daughter, family member and friend. The emptiness she leaves behind is impossible to put into words, and life will never be quite the same without her.
We will cherish every memory, every laugh and every moment we were lucky enough to share with her.
