In Loving Memory
Robert Brian Orton
1959-2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rob, who slipped away peacefully on 14 May, in the Nightingale Macmillan Unit, Royal Derby Hospital.
Loving husband to Lynn, devoted and proud dad to Monty and Paddy, he was much loved and will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends.
A service will be held at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium on Monday 16th June at 1pm. Family flowers only please.
Donations in Rob’s name, may be made to the Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity, Nightingale Macmillan Unit (NMU 14004), where he was so amazingly cared for by the team for the last 6 weeks of his life.
You can also make a donation via https://robertorton.muchloved.com/

So sad to hear about Rob. My heart goes out to all of his family.
I hadn’t seen him for many years, but have fond memories of the gang on Deer Park Estate and he being an anchor on all of our silliness.
A great loss.

Since we heard your sad news we’ve been thinking of our teenage days growing up with Rob and the gang, those memories made us smile. As you all say your goodbyes tomorrow please know that we’ll be thinking of you and hoping in the days ahead your memories will help you smile again.
So sorry we aren’t able to join you.
