Mick Thurman

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael “Mick” Thurman, who passed away peacefully at home on 18th December 2025, aged 60.

Mick was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was well known and deeply respected within the sporting community, playing a significant role in both golf and football. Mick was loved by everyone who knew him, and his warmth, passion and generosity of spirit will be remembered always.

He will be profoundly missed by his devoted wife Julie, his sons Liam and Luke and his cherished grandson Rayne, along with his wider family, friends and the many lives he touched.

A funeral service to celebrate Mick’s life will be held on Monday 26th January at 12:15pm at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium.

Following the service, all are warmly invited to attend the wake at Lea Marston.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in Mick’s memory are gratefully received for the Lakeside Suite Spire Little Aston Hospital, whose care and support throughout Mick’s treatment were outstanding. Donations can be made via the link provided or as cash on the day.
