John Clement Edward Congrave

John passed away peacefully at Good Hope Hospital, Tamworth, on 18th January 2026, aged 95.

A devoted and loving husband to the late Iris, John was a much-loved father to Jill, Janet, Mick, Jackie and Jenny, a cherished grandad, great-grandad, brother, uncle, and a loyal friend to many. He will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, warmth, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday 17th February 2026 at 1:00pm at The Abbey Church Of St Editha, High Street, Polesworth, B78 1DX.

Following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to join together at Polesworth Working Men’s Club, 9 High Street, Polesworth, B78 1DX, to share memories and celebrate John’s long and well-lived life.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, may be made to St Editha’s, Polesworth Abbey, via the collection plate or the donations box as you leave the church.

Rest peacefully, reunited with Iris, and forever loved, remembered, and treasured.
