Donald “Don” Pickering
20th April 1944 – 26th October 2025
Aged 81 years
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald “Don” Pickering, aged 81 years.
Beloved husband of his late wife Maureen (Mo), cherished uncle to Karen, Robert and Warren and devoted godfather to Lianne and Philip, Nick and Laura, Karen and Carl.
Don will be fondly remembered for his love of golf, his passion for travelling, and the warmth he brought to all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Don’s life will take place at the Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton, on Tuesday 16th December 2025 at 11:45am, followed by a wake at Atherstone Golf Club, Coleshill Road, Atherstone.
Attendees are welcome to wear usual funeral attire, or golf wear.
Family flowers only with, with donations, if desired, to be made in Don’s memory to Cancer Research UK via the online link below.
Cash donations can also be placed in the donations box upon exiting the crematorium. These will go towards creating a memorial trophy, to be played annually at a charity golf match held in Don’s honour at Atherstone Golf Club.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
