With great sadness we regret to announce the passing of Philip Read. Devoted dad to Maree and Natalie, adored grandad to Alex, Oliver, Elliot & Eloise and father in law to Nick and Karl. Passed away peacefully at The George Eliot Hospital on Monday 24th August 2026, aged 79 years. A Funeral service in celebration for Philip’s life is to take place at The Meldor Suite, M G Evans & Sons Funeral Directors, Avenue Road, Nuneaton, Warwickshire CV11 4JT on Thursday 17th September 2026 at 10:00am followed by an interment at Marston Lane Cemetery, Bedworth. At the families request all mourners are asked to wear black attire. Family flowers only but donations if desired are to be forwarded to Midlands Air Ambulance and can be made on the day as we exit The Meldor Suite on the day or online at philip-read.muchloved.com.
