Angela Sheila Alcock
1959 – 2026
In Loving Memory of Angela Alcock.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful Angela, who passed away at St Giles Hospice on 19th August 2026, aged 67.
Angela was the heart of her family. She loved her family more than words could ever express, and nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by the people she loved, especially her precious grandchildren, who were the absolute light of her life.
Angela was the much-loved wife of Sam, and together they shared an incredible 47 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary on 4th August, just weeks before Angela sadly passed away. A lifetime of love, memories, laughter and togetherness that will remain treasured forever.
She was a devoted Mum to Kev, Steve and Kate, and the very best mother-in-law to Claire, Kirkie and Charlie.
Her greatest joy was being an incredible Nanny to Ethan, Rowan, Elissa, Freya, Alex, Jack, Davie, Max, Lily, Scarlet and Mikey. She adored every single one of them and created memories that they will carry in their hearts for the rest of their lives. Her love, cuddles, laughter and that special Angela sparkle will never be forgotten.
Angela’s funeral will take place at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium, Thursday 10th September 2026 at 12:15pm.
We would love for everyone to celebrate Angela’s life in a way that reflects the person she was, we ask everyone to wear bright clothing, with sparkles, just like Angela herself because she had a wonderful way of lighting up every room she walked into.
Please, no flowers.
Instead, the family kindly asks for donations in Angela’s memory to St Giles Hospice, who meant so much to the family and cared for Angela with such incredible kindness, compassion and dignity.
The family will always be incredibly grateful to the wonderful staff at St Giles Hospice for the care they gave Angela and the comfort they brought to those who loved her.

Angela may have left us far too soon, but the love she gave, the laughter she shared and the sparkle she brought into all our lives will never leave us.
She didn’t just light up a room, she left a little of her light in everyone lucky enough to have loved her.
