It is with much sadness that the family regret to inform you of the passing of Derek John Gilbert. Derek passed away peacefully at Heartlands Hospital on Wednesday 25th March 2026, aged 87 years old. This page is a tribute to Derek Gilbert. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
A Funeral service in celebration for Derek’s life is to take place at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium on Friday 24th April 2026 at 2:30pm. Family flowers only but donations if desired are to be forwarded to St Giles Hospice and can be made on the day as we exit the crematorium chapel or online via derekgilbert.muchloved.com
