With great sadness, the family announce the passing of John William Lander on 16th November 2025 at the George Eliot Hospital, aged 92.
John was a much loved husband, dad, grandad, great-grandad, brother and friend. A gentle, kind-hearted man whose warmth, humour, and stories will be remembered always. He leaves behind many cherished memories that will live on in all who knew him.

A service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Friday 9th January 2026 at 11:00am at the Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in John’s honour for Hartshill Care Home, in gratitude for their care and kindness, may be placed in the donation box as you leave the Crematorium.
Following the service, everyone who knew and loved John is warmly invited to gather at The Top Club, Polesworth, to share memories, stories, and a quiet moment together in his memory.
