In loving memory of Noel who sadly passed away on 8th July 2025 aged 97. A much-loved
husband to the late Ellen, cherished father to David, and beloved father-in-law to Carol.
Noel was a well-known and respected figure around Nuneaton, having moved here from his
native Glasgow in 1969. A member of the Royal Naval Association and Royal British
Legion, he was a veteran of the Royal Navy and proudly attended Remembrance Services
until very recently. He died peacefully at George Eliot Hospital, attended by the wonderful
staff on the Acute Medical Unit. He leaves many relatives and friends who will miss his
cheery smile and generous nature.
A committed and faithful member of St Anne’s RC Church, Chapel End, there will be prayers
for Noel at the church on Tuesday 5th August at 5pm before a requiem mass on Wednesday
6th at 11AM. A committal will then take place at the Heart of England Crematorium at 12:30.
All are welcome to any or all of these services.

Noel.
You are true Gentleman.
A name that would ensure no one could forget when your birthday was. Mine is the 31 December and should have been called just in.
I still remember our trip out to Rosneath Scotland. I loved the first hand accounts of what the base was like in the 1940s and what still remains now. Your son David has a true moral compass that I’m sure was instilled by you and I am humbled to call him a close friend and confident. Dave your grief will subside over time. Hopefully with the support of carol the pain will give way to the fond memories you have until you meet again xxx

I’m so sad as I’ve just read that my dear friend Noel of 55 years has Passed, I was so blessed too have known him all those years and will miss him greatly. He had many a story too tell from his life and often he would tell that same story over and over again but that was Noel for you a bloody good guy! I will miss you mate 😢😢
